Induction Data Retention Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

1. Scope

This Data Retention Policy describes how Induction AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Induction", "we", "us", or "our") retains and deletes Customer Content and Operational Metadata processed through the Service.

It should be read together with our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If this Policy conflicts with a separate written agreement between you and us, that agreement controls.

2. Definitions

  • Customer Content has the meaning given in our Terms of Service: the content you send through the Service and the responses returned to you.
  • Operational Metadata means technical records generated while operating the Service, such as request identifiers, timestamps, model identifiers, token usage, costs, and error codes. Operational Metadata is not intended to contain Customer Content.

3. Customer Content

We may temporarily retain Customer Content to provide the Service, including to handle later requests in the same conversation, to reuse processed content across your requests, and for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

Customer Content is retained for up to 30 days after it was last used by the Service, unless otherwise agreed in writing. It is then scheduled for deletion from our systems.

4. Model training

We do not use Customer Content to train or fine-tune any AI model.

5. Model Providers and other third-party providers

The Service forwards requests to Model Providers and may use other third-party AI providers while handling a request. Where a third-party provider processes Customer Content, that provider's own retention, deletion, and data usage practices may apply. Where you use your own API key with a Model Provider, your agreement with that provider governs its handling of your data.

We do not represent that every third-party provider has the same retention or training practices as we do. If you have specific retention, residency, or regulatory requirements, contact us before using the Service in production.

6. Operational Metadata

We retain Operational Metadata for as long as reasonably necessary for billing, security, fraud and abuse prevention, reliability monitoring, troubleshooting, service analytics, and legal compliance.

7. Account closure

When your account is deleted, we delete all Customer Content and personal data associated with it within 30 days, unless we need to keep it for legal, regulatory, or compliance reasons, to prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats, or as billing and transaction records.

8. Backups

If deleted data remains in backup archives, we securely store it and isolate it from any further processing until it can be deleted.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Service, our providers, or legal requirements. We will post the updated Policy with a new "Last updated" date and, for changes that lengthen retention of Customer Content, give you reasonable advance notice by email or in the dashboard.
