Induction Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Induction AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Induction", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you use our website, dashboard, API, and related services (the "Service").
It should be read together with our Terms of Service. Terms defined there (such as "Customer Content", "Input", "Output", and "Model Providers") have the same meaning here.
2. Information we collect
- Customer Content: the content you send through the Service and the responses returned to you, as defined in our Terms of Service.
- Operational Metadata: technical records generated while operating the Service, such as request identifiers, timestamps, model identifiers, token usage, and costs. Operational Metadata is not intended to contain Customer Content.
- Account and billing information: information you provide to set up and pay for your account, such as your name, email address, and organization.
- Website data: information collected when you visit our website, such as device and browser information and how you use the site.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide the Service, including processing, compressing, and forwarding your requests to Model Providers and returning their responses;
- make additional model calls while handling a request, as part of how the Service works (for example, to summarize, compress, or extract parts of your content);
- cache processed content so repeated content can be handled faster and at lower cost;
- troubleshoot, debug, and support the Service, and investigate errors and abuse;
- measure usage, calculate costs, and bill you;
- secure the Service and prevent fraud;
- communicate with you about your account and the Service and, with your consent where required, about product updates;
- comply with legal obligations.
Model training. We do not use Customer Content to train or fine-tune any AI model.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Model Providers
The Service forwards your requests to the Model Providers you choose. Model Providers process Customer Content under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control. Depending on your configuration, requests may be sent using:
- your own API key with the Model Provider, in which case your agreement with that provider governs its handling of the data; or
- our API key, in which case the provider acts as our subprocessor.
Where we make additional model calls while handling a request, those calls also contain Customer Content and are sent to the third-party providers described in section 5.
5. How we share information
We share information with third-party providers only as needed to operate the Service. These include Model Providers and other AI service providers that help process requests, and providers of hosting, data storage, monitoring, payment, and communication services. They may process information only on our behalf and under our instructions.
We may also disclose information:
- when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process;
- to protect the rights, safety, or property of Induction, our customers, or others;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy;
- with your consent or at your direction.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our agreements. How long we keep information depends on its type, why we collected it, and whether the law requires us to keep it.
Retention of Customer Content is described in our Data Retention Policy.
Deleting your account. When your account is deleted, we delete all personal data associated with it within 30 days, unless we need to keep it for legal, regulatory, or compliance reasons, to prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats, or as billing and transaction records.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including encryption of data in transit. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
8. Where we process information
We are based in the United States and process information in the United States.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, contact us at privacy@induction.ai. We may need to verify your identity before responding. If we process your information on behalf of one of our customers, we will refer your request to that customer.
You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Cookies
Our website and dashboard use cookies and similar technologies, which fall into three types:
- Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to work, for example to keep you signed in and to secure your session.
- Preference cookies remember choices you make, such as your settings.
- Performance and analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used and find errors, so we can improve it.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, or the age of majority where they live if that is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe someone under that age has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@induction.ai and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give you reasonable advance notice by email or in the dashboard before they take effect.
